Tampa, FL – The Animal Coalition of Tampa (ACT) announced that it will hold its annual Stride for Strays fundraising walk on Sunday, October 18th from 9am to 2pm in Downtown Tampa, starting at the Amalie Arena Green parking lot. The popular event for animal lovers and their pets is celebrating its 15th anniversary, and is presented by the Petco Foundation, Bright House Networks, Amalie Arena, and Ferg’s Live.
The fundraiser will benefit the ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic, which saves the lives of dogs and cats by offering affordable and high-quality medical care.
Vendors will be on site at the Amalie Arena with products and adoptable animals, and Ferg’s Live will present the Doggie Fun Zone, a fun obstacle course for pets to show their agility skills, as well as exciting contests, animal-friendly prizes, detailed presentations, and live music throughout the event. The mile-long dog walk will be along the scenic Tampa Riverwalk.
Walkers can register online at www.strideforstrays.org, where they can also form or join teams, and promote their own webpages to solicit donations using the hashtag #StrideForStrays. Early registration is $25, and includes a commemorative T-shirt and a pre-walk breakfast. Parking is complimentary.
Vendor space is still available. Visit http://www.strideforstrays.org or email Karen at karen@actampa.org for more information.
